The dreams, the ideas, the sketches. but plans are needed. Digging and noise, plenty of it when in the rock base. The building of the pool. The landscaping, the finishing off, the decking, the filling and then the first swim...
Several different pools designed, conceived and constructed by Midimas Services - in different sizes and shapes and depths. In different environments and with different views. Each one with their own ambiance.

First Ideas

The Customer's first ideas and sketches - In the end, it is the reality of the land, the environment, the orientation and the security, not forgetting the budget, which will be the determining factors. The below the surface work can often cost not be estimated very accurately without the help of an expert "Terrassier". Somebody who knows his job, and who has done many pools, can cost such work very accurately.

Structure

When in the rock base, the initial preparation cost and the sculpting of an appropriate hole can represent a major cost of the whole project. Sometimes, one has to demolish existing buildings before getting round to digging the hole. Once the ground is prepared, and the pool is marked out, the reinforced concrete base gets poured. The walls, with all their structural metalwork, bring the pool into its 3-dimensional form.

According to the project, the pool surrounds are now often done at the same time to offer a final total pool environment. The stone paved decking is usually expensive as it has to be done on a solid concrete basis to minimise movement. It's costed per m², and there are usually many m² to be done.

First Swim

Very satisfying to see the pool filled for the first time - for the customer, his kids, for those who have built it, and for me. The colours from the deep azur sky, the pale blue watery sky, and from the clouds temporarily passing overhead, are all reflected in the waters of the new pool, which for the first time, become alive and sparkling.
